This story was such a let down. It seemed from the first book of the series, Charming the Highlander (Highlander Trilogy), the existence of Winter MacKeage was built up so much that when I finished reading this book,I was left a bit dumbfounded. It's been mentioed time and again in the previous books about how powerful a druid she will become and even Matt/Curam for that matter, yet there was a lack of evidence of this supposed mighty power. Curam did not even strike me as a powerful druid to beware of, as the impression I got from Robbie MacBain and Father Daar. In fact, Talking Tom seems to be the one that resolved the supposed big catastrophe waiting to happen. I also did not really feel any chemistry between Winter and Matt/Curam. The storyline for Talking Tom was a bit more mysterious and should have been what this book was about.

Love Janet Chapman, my favorite author. All her Highlander series were fabulous.
AHHHHHHHH yess the book about Winter and Matt awesome book .. talk about 2 people whose destiny is entwined with one another and Family .. this would be book 5 I do believe it also tells the story of how Kenzie ,Megan, and Jack/Wayne come into the story .. great books this Highlander series of books
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Highlander series. The characters are well-developed. I liked how Winter and Matt met and then combined their talents to help others. The love shared by them and the family members is terrific. These family members stand by each other. I would recommend this series to people who like time travel and romance. I have enjoyed all of Janet Chapman's books.
I just finished reading this book yesterday. I loved it. The story line was everything I had anticipated with some humorous incidents thrown in that I especially enjoyed reading, I could not put this book down until I had read it in its entirety (which meant I was up until 3 am reading). I just recently discovered Janet Chapman's writings, and I have just about read everything of hers that I could get my hands on. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes this particular type of storyline.
Another in continuing Pine Creek Highlander series that keeps you turning the pages. Would love to see a movie or TV series made of these. So many tv or movies of paranormal are dark or violent. This would be a welcome change with it's light, wit beautiful scenery, and great characters and story.
Her books are the best! I stared reading her Highlander series books before e-readers were around. I've gone back to buy them for my . She will be missed.
I read each and every book from this series in order and nonstop. OMG...What an amazing experience Granted there were some characters that I loved thoughout the series. One of the things that most impressed me is we really get to see the happily ever after throughout the series.

If you have the money and can afford to buy the whole set, that is the experience that you are shooting for from this author. Chapman is creative funny, and sincere with these characters and you feel the love between main players as well as the family they have around them. After all those books I was still left wanting more.

I passed my set to my sister. She calls me at the end of each one to discuss the new characters, the new dynamic they'll create in future novels in the series.

Truly a fun read. The best read since my first historical romance (Knight in Shining Armor).
